Chappell Roan’s, Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things Tour.
I worked on hand-drawn character animation for Chappell Roan’s Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things Tour, contributing to the live visual system supporting the performance. The visual language drew from medieval and Renaissance references with stylistic inspiration from René Laloux’s Fantastic Planet.
The animations preserved a painterly, hand-rendered aesthetic while being designed and optimized for large-scale stage screens. I animated over five original characters, developing painterly, hand-drawn visuals that emphasized fluid motion and expressive transformation, designed specifically for large-scale stage screens and live performance environments.
